Hi
I It sounds like a side effect to the Lycria as you have only been on them for a week, the sickness should pass, if not are you able to drop a dose and increase them again very slowly? :hugs:

i think nausea is a side affect with alot of tablets. however if this doesnt seem to pass, but the tablet seems to be working for you in other ways re pain etc you may be able to see your gp about getting an anti sickness tablet. as there are several of them. however it is best to get one prescribed as not all anti sickness from the over the counter pharmacy will go with your tablets.

I've just been put on Pregabalin, started yesterday after coming off my last meds.
Hoping these will work better for me... though last night I had the oddest thing. I got the very dopey, wobbly feeling with little spasms...I'm used to this with my other meds so I know what it is but I've only just started taking my new meds..it couldn't possibly affect me this fast..but still...very odd evening.

Hi after a few weeks now on the lyrica and tramadol and fluxotine the sick feeling has worn off , the pain is still coming but in shorter bursts like a spasam and nothing has touched the numbness in my hands , i have though had lots of headaches some migraine attacks , so im not sure if any of these meds are really helping or not ? ive got a review with the dr thursday so ill see what she suggests :dunno: wendy x

Once again my body feels rather like it is converting to jelly or some form of mush .. I may slide off my chair sometime soon.
The woozy feelings would be quite nice if my head didn't spin slightly when I closed my eyes. My fingers refusing to work at any normally accepted speed doesn't help me note down these feelings in my med diary lol

Ah well, should always be able to laugh about it.

Ok, so far I'm not loving this. I've not had a break from dizziness, headaches, wobbly feelings and muscle spasms since I start taking this.
I hate feeling ill and dopey and dizzy.

Give it two weeks and if it's still bad, talk to your doc about it...maybe starting at a lower dose would help.

It's been a week already and I've nearly had enough. Have a Dr's appointment on Tuesday.
I've never felt so ill on new meds before and I've tried quite a few now.

If you're still as bad when you see the doctor, definitely ask about a lower dose.

Not sure if this is any help to you but I have been on epilepsy drugs for many years so am used to the way it makes you feel in the first few weeks. I was put on Tegretol and I can remember for at least 3 - 4 weeks, I felt drunk, gradually the side effects subsided until the dose was put up to try and control the seizures. Usually the Consultant ups the dose until the seizures are controlled or your body can no longer tolerate the medication at that level. It is because of that and being on long term medication I am used to a lot of these strange feelings you have when you first start taking Anti epileptic medication. These drunk like feelings are quite normal and you should get used to it. If however after several weeks of feeling like this it does not subside, it is a good Idea to speak to your GP. I have just been put on Gabepentin for my Fibro because I am so used to AEDs these feelings are quite normal to me.. I have found that the Gabapentin is helping the anxiety I have had, like nothing I have ever had before, but I have yet to see if it is a true help to me for the anxiety or if I am just experiencing a blurred brain as a side effect from first taking the tablets. I pray to god it is the real thing and I have finally found something that helps the the misery I experience form my anxiety every waking day.. Good Luck to you all.x
PS I am yet to find out if it helps the fibro
